Sometimes, a video just won't upload. This can be incredibly frustrating, especially if you have fans waiting for a new clip! Here's some steps to try to work through it.

  • Is the video too large? Files over 10GB won't process on our server.
  • Make sure your internet upload speeds are normal. A call to your internet provider to see if there are any delays and finding an internet speed test online can be helpful in ruling this out. Most of the time, you can tell if your upload speed is normal just from how your internet is behaving, but we sometimes see weird circumstances like ISPs blocking or throttling the connection to our website, or uploads in general!
  • Next, determine if it is only that video. Try uploading another video -- try one you've uploaded before, or some simple test footage. If that footage uploads & processes, then you know there's an issue with a specific video.
  • Try re-rendering the video that's giving problems! You can run it through your video editor again, or use a free app like Handbrake to render it. Try the 1080p fast MP4 preset if you use Handbrake!
  • If the new render of the video still just won't process, it might be time to reach out to our support team. We can advise if there is a server slow down on our end, and we can also have our dev team look at the error(s) the videos are throwing to help avoid the issue in the future. It can take a few days for us to get this detailed data for you, but it can be worth it to avoid the issue in the future. Just visit your "media center" and copy & paste the precise file names of the videos that won't upload -- a long string of numbers usually, ending in .mp4. Send them as text, not an image screencap, and we can request this technical data for you!

Please note: You may enjoy using our bulk importer for video uploads to speed up the process, especially for larger files!
